Project Overview

Already this year 86 gang-related shootings have occurred within a 2-mile radius of the proposed Children's Peace Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Children are orphaned. Children are afraid. They need your support to create a Children's Peace Center where these children can discover peace and become peacemakers in their schools, homes, and neighborhoods.

The Children's Peace Pavilion in Independence, MO, is supporting the effort by providing consultation and "Discover Peace" exhibits. Local ministers are attending a college workshop on conflict mediation and peacemaking skills.

These precious children need you to join this lifesaving and life-changing effort!

Your financial gift will renovate space in an old bank building next to the Chattanooga Urban Center to house the "Discover Peace" exhibits and provide Peace Camps for children.

From Pastor Jimmy Munson: "Two more shooting this morning one-half block from Center and then right across the street. What we do down here in this neighborhood really matters. A police officer told us during today's peace walk, 'This is the safest corner (our church corner) in the entire East Chattanooga because everybody respects this church."

A teenager told Pastor Jared Munson: "What I like best about God is his ears? They can hear my invisible tears and my slightest whisper for help?" This 16-year-old boy knows violence. He is in foster care and fairly new to our church. His dad is serving 38 years in prison for murder. His mother committed suicide when he was 13."

Open your ears to the pleas of children who want Christ's peace in their lives and families. Hear their invisible tears and whispers for help!

Thank you for your gift to make the Children's Peace Center a reality!
