Project Overview

My name is Korinne Henrickson and I graduate from the University of Kentucky this May with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. While my peers are starting graduate school, I am choosing to use the summer to participate in mission with World Service Corps.

I am looking forward to spending the summer as a volunteer at Dunfield House in England - helping around the grounds, assisting with camps, and growing personally and spiritually through the experience.

Throughout the summer Dunfield House is host to many camps, I will feel right at home as I have grown up attending, staffing, and directing camps through Community of Christ.

I am most excited to be integrated into the community at Dunfield House, meet a variety of new people, and test the waters as a newly ordained priest in Community of Christ. I am also excited to experience all of this with my fellow World Service Corps volunteer - Nick Keehler.

As a soon-to-be college graduate, I do not have the means to make it to England alone. Your contribution both financially and in prayer will be greatly appreciated.

A note from the World Service Corps coordinator, Emily Penrose-McLaughlin:

Korinne will be a fantastic World Service Corps volunteer! She was selected for an assignment with Dunfield House (Community of Christ owned retreat centre) because of her years of experience as a Resident Assistant at her university, as well as her love for and experience in facilitating camping ministries. Korinne is uniquely prepared for the opportunity to support Dunfield House in hosting the variety of groups that come to visit and experience “how good the world can be.”

During her assignment, Korinne will work with the managers of Dunfield House to learn about and support general operations and assist with several Community of Christ camps. Korinne will also have the opportunity to participate in worships and gatherings with Community of Christ congregations and groups throughout the British Isles Mission Centre.

Your financial support is essential to help World Service Corps cover the expenses involved for this assignment which thereby enable Korinne to volunteer. Korinne has 30 days to raise $1,500. Please support her GoFundMission campaign.

Why support a WSC volunteer? WSC volunteers further discover and live out the Enduring Principles and Mission Initiatives of Community of Christ. Through Unity in Diversity, Blessings of Community, Inviting People to Christ, and more, WSC volunteers discover their sacred calling in discipleship and offer their giftedness in mission.

Thank you for your support in Developing Disciples to Serve Christ’s Mission.
